Tanglewreck

Title: Tanglewreck
Author: Jeanette Winterson
Bloomsbury, 2006

A young, orphan girl with a wicked, fake aunt sets out to rescue the world from greedy villains because time starts to warp and act up. This takes her on a voyage into the underground and to the Einstein Line on the planet Philippi where she sets out into the Sands of Time to look for the Timekeeper and her own destiny!

Nice, easy read for the A-course, with a traditional (Potter) pattern and quite fast-paced with lots of things to discuss: maybe we just think we are running out of time due to bad planning; maybe we have actually upset time with all our inventions and it is really moving at a faster pace than it used to...? Is time steady, or amoebic; is time money?
